Dairy Cottage was perfect for our needs. It's a lovely wee place in an ideal location for exploring Dumfries and Galloway (assuming you're driving). I only wish we'd booked a longer stay, because there's an overwhelming number of things to do nearby, including many intriguing walks in the immediate vicinity. The cottage feels freshly decorated and clean, and the bed is comfortable - we slept very soundly. There is a fully equipped kitchen (coffee and tea provided, plus eggs, jam and bread), and the bathroom has a bath as well as a good shower. 10/10!

Lovely cottage just what we were looking for. Outside space, a private courtyard and shared secret garden, were much appreciated. Very helpful friendly host, overall highly recommended. We will return.

Beautiful cottage. Very tastefully decorated throughout. Very clean and tidy. Everything in there. Left some essential items for us i.e tea bags, coffee, eggs, butter, fresh orange, bread rolls and jam to start your first morning off. Lovely private courtyard for your use. Picnic benches in garden for your use. Lovely walk to the beach. Gorgeous area to explore. Enjoy

We had a lovely weekend at Dairy Cottage with a warm welcome from Tracey on arrival, along with some added extras including eggs, homemade jam and dog biscuit! Everywhere was clean and plenty of information available in the cottage and from Tracey herself, and communication from point of booking was brilliant. Great circular walk from the cottage to the beach and along the riverbank, it was a really relaxed setting and we would thoroughly recommend. For a meal out, would also recommend The Colfin Creamery, about a 15 minute drive away.

Tracey’s place is excellently situated near a beautiful beach and in easy reach of Stranraer ferries to Northern Ireland. Tracey provides a warm welcome, lots of little extras in terms of information and basic foods. The place is spotlessly clean and very well maintained with all the necessary amenities. I would highly recommend staying there.

We were down for a working trip and the apartment was great, it was clean and well kitted out, bigger than it looks in the photos too. There is a charming private courtyard to the rear and a picnic table are out the front. It was very conveniently located just off the main trunk toad in the area yet it was quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very helpful and check-in and out was very easy via a keybox. A great cosy warm place in a lovely setting, we hope to be back before long.
